Working on developing and publicizing a new transportation system, utilizing modular automobiles whose bodies can travel long distances at high speeds on magnetic-levitation (MagLev) rails, thus reducing the need for air travel.  The same MagLev-rail network can be used for freight, decreasing unit costs for both passengers and freight.

• Developed a .PHP website for an audio journal for lawyers.  It entices new subscribers, allows them to register in the database and to purchase subscriptions.
• Developed MySQL customer-information databases for billing, and managing publications and subscriptions.
• Developed utility web pages to query the database and manage fulfillment of subscriptions, management of renewal notices, and acceptance of promotional codes.
• Integration APIs for authorization and capture of charges from subscriber credit cards.

• Developed SQL customer-information databases for billing and managing an email system with automating communications with customers.
• Integration APIs of other subcontractors/partners and developing procedures for automated authorization of customer credit cards, and later capture of charges from the cards.
• Making modifications to the .php website.

Teaching Word, Excel, and other software to municipal employees and the general public.

Teaching mostly Chemistry, but also Mathematics, Physics, and a variety of other subjects in High Schools and Middle Schools.

• Developed a series of pricing models for determining the optimum price for used automobile parts, such that profit may be maximized while maintaining “good will”, using interactive Excel spreadsheets.
• Mined old and new databases for statistics to drive these models.
• Also, developed models for ranking available auto parts by quality.

• As a consultant at the U.S. Tennis Association, wrote dynamically-linked modules, in both Visual Basic and Visual C++, to verify tennis scores.
• Also built an Active-Server Web Page (.ASP) to perform manual editing and automatic rescheduling of League Tennis Matches.
• For other clients, wrote tools for web authoring and web pages for display of purchasing databases. My .ASPs were written Visual InterDev, using HTML, IIS, Java-Script/JScript, VBScript, and SQL for the SQL Server (or MTS) backend, with SQL Stored Procedures maintained by Microsoft Enterprise Manager.
• Used ADO to connect the database data with the web pages.

• Performed hands-on tests.
• Analyzed Product and Systems Specifications and wrote Test Specifications, Plans, Procedures, Scenarios and Cases, for system and product tests of the Next Level of Digital Cable service.
• Generated daily reports using VBA to transform Access records into Word documents.
• Wrote “Concept Paper” documents.
• Coordinated testing activities and tracked test executions, including management support.
• Suggested designs for redundant system architectures.
• Gained familiarity with MPEG-2 and many aspects of G.I.'s products.

• Consulted on a Small-Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Phase-I project for the Army Missile Command in Huntsville, Alabama.
• Developed concepts, wrote documents, and developed pictorial constructs for a graphical-programming language.

• Worked on several personal-computer-based simulation projects in the “C” language, including:
  • a Theatre Anti-Submarine Warfare game (long used at the Naval War College in Newport, RI),
  • a Torpedo Defense system using artificial intelligence,
  • an underwater acoustic simulation program,
  • a multi-sensor tracking program,
  • a tableau system for inputting and editing complicated sets of engineering data,  and
  • a C-language array-handling utility.
• Designed a wireless infrared audio communications system for submarines under a Small-Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Phase-I contract.
• Wrote a C++ signal-processing class library that had to work for Microsoft C++, Borland C++, and G++.
• Surveyed common off-the-shelf relational databases (RDBs), SQL, and Object-Oriented databases for applicability to an engineering application.
• Performed some IV&V work on a fixed-sonar system.
